To commission a portrait, please contact me via the form below. You can also use it to describe what you are looking for. I will get back to you with a price estimate between $100 and $300 plus shipping. You can choose between portrait sizes of 8×10, 11×14, or 12×18.
After placing your order, you will need to send some pictures of your horse. I need several high-resolution photos (at least 1600×1200) of the horse, including one in the pose you want in your pastel portrait. The photo should have high detail for a detailed portrait. Please specify any changes you would like in the lighting, background, or tack on the horse. For examples of ideal reference photos, click here. In order to get the right expression in the portrait, please send a description of your horse’s personality.
When you commission your portrait, please allow up to four weeks for completion and shipping. Since I do not use fixatives on my pastels, I take care in shipping them so they do not smudge. Once you receive your portrait, you can choose the frame and/or mat that best complement your decor.
